Baked Pears Stuffed with Creamy Gorgonzola and Honey

Ingredients:
4 ripe but firm pears (e.g., Bosc or Bartlett) 🍐
½ cup creamy Gorgonzola cheese 🧀
2 tbsp honey 🍯
¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) 🌰
1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted 🧈
Fresh thyme leaves (optional) 🌿
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper. 🔥
2️⃣ Prepare the pears:
Cut the pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core and seeds with a spoon or melon baller. Trim a small slice off the bottom of each pear half so they sit flat. 🍐
3️⃣ Prepare the filling:
In a small bowl, mix the Gorgonzola cheese and half the honey until smooth. Add chopped walnuts or pecans if using. 🧀🍯
4️⃣ Stuff the pears:
Place the pears cut-side up in the prepared baking dish. Fill each cavity with the Gorgonzola mixture. Brush the exposed pear flesh with melted butter. 🥄
5️⃣ Bake:
Bake the pears for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized. 🕰️
6️⃣ Finish with honey:
Drizzle the baked pears with the remaining honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves if desired. 🌟
7️⃣ Serve:
Serve warm as an appetizer, side dish, or dessert. These pair wonderfully with a crisp white wine or as a luxurious addition to a charcuterie board. 🍐🍯
