Ingredients:
For the casserole:
500 g (1 lb) ground beef 🥩
1 small onion, finely chopped 🧅
1 packet (30 g) taco seasoning 🌮
1 cup (240 ml) salsa 🍅
1 cup (240 ml) canned black beans or pinto beans, rinsed and drained 🫘
1 cup (240 ml) corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned) 🌽
2 cups (200 g) shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese 🧀
4 cups (120 g) crushed tortilla chips (or small bags of Fritos) 🌮
Optional toppings:
Chopped lettuce 🥬
Diced tomatoes 🍅
Sliced black olives 🫒
Sour cream 🍦
Guacamole or avocado slices 🥑
Jalapeño slices 🌶️
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Step 2: Cook the Beef Mixture
2️⃣ In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
