Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants

Ingredients:

  • 4 croissants (preferably fresh or day-old)
  • 4 slices of ham (thinly sliced)
  • 4 slices of cheese (Gruyère, Swiss, or cheddar are great options)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the croissants in half horizontally, but don’t slice all the way through—leave them hinged.
  3. If desired, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard inside the croissant for extra flavor.
  4. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese inside each croissant.
  5. Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

These croissants are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.
