Ingredients:
- 4 croissants (preferably fresh or day-old)
- 4 slices of ham (thinly sliced)
- 4 slices of cheese (Gruyère, Swiss, or cheddar are great options)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the croissants in half horizontally, but don’t slice all the way through—leave them hinged.
- If desired, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard inside the croissant for extra flavor.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese inside each croissant.
- Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter for a golden finish.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
