Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp unsalted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic and butter. Add the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes to warm the shrimp through. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. Enjoy!
