Ingredients
For 4 to 6 people:
1 turkey breast (1.5 to 2 kg)
2 tablespoons of butter.
2 tablespoons of the olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon of ground fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon of dried coffee)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary (or 1 teaspoon dried coffee)
1 teaspoon of paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup (240 ml) chicken or turkey broth
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Preparation
Preparing the Turkey Breast:
Make sure the turkey is defrosted if it was frozen.
Pat her with absorbent paper to dry.
Prepare the seasoning mix:
In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt and pepper.
Rub this mixture generously over the entire surface of the turkey, including under the skin if possible.
Place in the slow cooker:
Pour the chicken broth in the bottom of the slow cooker to keep the turkey from sticking.
Place turkey breast in slow cooker, skin side up.
Cooking:
Cover and bake on low temperature for 6 to 7 hours or on high temperature for 3 to 4 hours, until internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F). Use a meat thermometer to check.
Turning the skin to gold (optional):
If you want crispy skin, transfer the turkey breast into a baking dish.
Place in the grill (broil) over high temperature for 3-5 minutes, until skin is golden and crispy.
Serve :
Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing it.
Drizzle with cooking juice or serve with homemade sauce or turkey juice for added flavor.
