Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon

Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon 🥬🍤🥓
Ingredients:
6 slices of bacon, chopped 🥓
1 lb smoked sausage (like Andouille or Kielbasa), sliced 🍖
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined 🍤
1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped 🥬
1 medium onion, sliced 🧅
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced 🌶️
2 tablespoons olive oil 🫒
1 teaspoon paprika 🌶️
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (optional for a bit of heat) 🌶️
Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) 🌿
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on a paper towel, leaving the bacon grease in the pan. 🥓🔥
2️⃣ Cook the sausage: Add the sliced sausage to the skillet with the bacon grease and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside with the bacon. 🍖🍳
3️⃣ Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the bacon and sausage. 🍤🔥
4️⃣ Sauté the veggies: In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed, and sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and the peppers are tender. 🧅🧄🌶️
5️⃣ Add the cabbage: Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and season with paprika, Cajun seasoning (if using), salt, and pepper. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp. 🥬🌿
6️⃣ Combine everything: Return the cooked bacon, sausage, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and combine the flavors. 🍤🥓🍖
7️⃣ Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot. Enjoy this hearty, flavorful dish on its own or with a side of rice or cornbread! 🌿🍽️
