Ingredients:
For the Chicken Alfredo:
1 lb (450g) cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
For the Garlic Bread Subs:
4 hoagie rolls or sub buns
4 tbsp butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
Prepare the Alfredo sauce: In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sautΓ© until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes). Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Add the chicken to the Alfredo sauce, stirring to coat it evenly. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Stir well.
Assemble the subs: Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise, but donβt cut all the way through (leave one side attached). Brush the insides with the garlic butter mixture.
Stuff the subs: Fill each roll with the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake the subs: Place the stuffed subs on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy and golden.
