Shrimp, sausage, and broccoli stir-fry with a honey-soy glaze

Ingredients:
300g shrimp, peeled and deveined 🍤
200g smoked sausage, sliced ​​(chorizo, merguez, or smoked sausage of your choice) 🌭
1 broccoli, cut into small florets 🥦
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced ​​(optional to add color) 🌶️
3 tbsp honey 🍯
2 tbsp soy sauce 🌿
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated (optional for more flavor) 🌶️
1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil 🫒
Salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish (optional) 🌾
Chives or green onions, chopped, for garnish 🌿
Instructions:
1️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Reserve this sauce for later.
2️⃣ Cook the Broccoli and Bell Pepper:
In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli and red bell pepper, and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3️⃣ Cook Sausages and Shrimp:
In the same pan, add the sausage slices and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Then add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
4️⃣ Add Sauce and Toss:
Return the broccoli and bell pepper to the pan with the shrimp and sausage. Pour the honey-soy sauce over the mixture, then toss well to coat all the ingredients. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
5️⃣ Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chives or green onions. Serve hot with rice or noodles. Enjoy! 😋
