This no-bake dessert is quick and easy to make, perfect for a comforting and nostalgic touch. Here is a traditional and easy version.
Ingredients (for 6 to 8 people):
2 packets of Petit Beurre biscuits
1 bowl of cooled black coffee
150 g of soft butter
100 g of sugar
2 packets of vanilla sugar
2 eggs
Decoration: grated chocolate or praline
Instructions:
Prepare the buttercream:
Separate the egg yolks and whites.
Beat the yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture is white. Incorporate the soft butter, whisking until smooth.
Beat the egg whites until stiff, then gently fold them into the previous mixture.
Assemble the cake:
Quickly dip the biscuits in the cooled coffee (2 seconds to prevent them from breaking).
Arrange a first layer of biscuits in a rectangular dish or mold lined with cling film.
Spread a thin layer of cream on the biscuits. Repeat the operation, alternating biscuits and cream for 4 to 5 layers, finishing with a layer of cream.
Rest and decorate:
Cover and leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours (or overnight) so that the cake sets well.
Before serving, sprinkle with grated chocolate or praline for a gourmet finish
