Ingredients:
3 eggs
60 g sugar
100 ml oil
1 plain yogurt
4 tbsp honey (more for finishing)
200 g flour
1/2 sachet baking powder
2 apples (sliced or diced)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (gas mark 6).
Prepare the dough: Whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture turns white. Add the yogurt, oil, then honey, mixing well.
Incorporate the dry ingredients: Sift the flour and yeast, then add them to the wet mixture. Mix until you have a smooth dough.
Prepare the apples: Peel and cut the apples. Add some of them to the dough.
Pour into the mold: Butter and flour a cake mold, pour in the dough and arrange the remaining apple slices or cubes on top.
Cooking: Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Check the cooking with a knife; the blade should come out dry.
Finishing: As soon as it comes out of the oven, brush the top with a little honey for a nice golden brown.
Tips:
For more flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or toasted flaked almonds on top before baking.
