Ingredients
Crust
-
1½ to 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
-
1/3 to 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Cream Filling
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
8 oz whipped topping or 2 cups freshly whipped cream
Topping
-
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Crust
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until evenly moistened. Press firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch or 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
Step 2: Prepare the Cream Filling
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Assemble
Spread the cream filling evenly over the chilled crust. Spoon the cherry pie filling on top and gently spread it into an even layer.
Step 4: Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set properly.
